Precision Railway Equipment Company

Precision Railway Equipment Company LogoAs a wholly owned subsidiary of parent Rio Grande Pacific Corporation (RGPC), we know first-hand the importance of providing our customers high quality, affordable remanufactured track equipment. Two years ago RGPC purchased remanufactured Harsco 6700’s from two different suppliers, only to be disappointed with the quality and performance of each machine. RGPC recognized a need in the marketplace for reliable but affordable like-new surfacing equipment, and in recognition of that need, Precision Railway Equipment Company was born. With an executive team possessing over 90 years of combined working experience, Rio Grande Pacific Corporation CEO, Richard Bertel, and Precision Railway Equipment Company Vice President, Harry Smith, set up a facility in a 40,000 square foot building in Independence, Kansas to begin remanufacturing Harsco 6700’s for the railroad industry.
